Industrial Valve Datasheets (PDF)

Technical library

ValveAtlas publishes a technical datasheet (PDF) for each of its 34 industrial valve series. Each datasheet sets out the specification of the series: design standards, pressure class or PN rating, materials, end connections and operation. Many also include face-to-face dimension tables, part materials and trim options. All datasheets are free to download, in English, with no registration.

What each datasheet includes

  • Technical specifications: size range where defined, pressure class or PN rating, end connections, materials and operation
  • Design and testing standards for the series, such as API 600, API 6D, API 594, API 609, BS 1873, EN 13709, API 598 or EN 12266-1
  • Key features that matter in selection, for example fire-safe design, cavity relief or zero stem leakage
  • Dimension and material tables on the main cast and forged steel series: face-to-face dimensions, typical part materials and trim options
  • A document number and revision (VA-DS-001 to VA-DS-034), so the datasheet can be referenced in a valve list or a bid

Values are for information only. Final dimensions, materials and ratings are confirmed in the quotation and in the approved general arrangement (GA) drawing.

Using a datasheet to check a valve against your specification

  1. Match the design standard and pressure class to the piping class of the line, for example API 600 Class 300 or EN 13709 PN40.
  2. Check body and trim materials against the fluid, the temperature range and any sour-service requirement (NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156).
  3. Confirm end connections and face-to-face dimensions (ASME B16.10 or EN 558) so the valve fits the line.
  4. List the test and document requirements: API 598 or EN 12266-1 pressure tests, EN 10204 3.1 certificates and fire-test certificates where needed.
  5. Send the valve list with the datasheet numbers. We confirm every line item and state any deviation from your specification in writing in the quotation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the ValveAtlas datasheets free to download?

Yes. All 34 datasheets are free PDF downloads in English, with no registration. Each one is linked from this page and from the page of its valve series.

Are the values in a datasheet binding?

No. Datasheet values are for information. Final dimensions, materials and ratings are confirmed in the quotation and in the approved general arrangement (GA) drawing for your order.

Can you supply a size, class or material that is not in the datasheet?

Often, yes. Several series are available in larger sizes or higher classes on a project basis, and duplex or nickel alloy versions can be built for most valve types. Send your specification and we confirm what can be supplied, line by line.

Which documents come with the valves?

Typically EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, pressure test reports to API 598 or EN 12266-1 and, for fire-safe designs, API 607 / ISO 10497 fire-test certificates. The certificate and test scope is confirmed for each line item at quotation stage.
