ValveAtlas Industrial Solutions Inc. is committed to providing an accessible website and customer service experience. This Accessibility Statement explains our commitments under applicable accessibility laws and how to request accommodations.

1. Our commitment

ValveAtlas strives to ensure that its website (valve-atlas.com) and the goods and services it provides are accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

2. Applicable legislation

• Ontario: Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11). ValveAtlas has fewer than 50 employees and therefore the strict website-conformance schedule does not directly apply; however, we voluntarily target WCAG 2.1 AA as best practice and acknowledge our customer-service standard obligations under O. Reg. 191/11, Part IV.1.
• Canada: Where we deal with federally-regulated entities or government tenders, the Accessible Canada Act, S.C. 2019, c. 10, may apply by reference.
• European Union / United Kingdom: The European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, takes effect for cross-border e-commerce services on 28 June 2025. ValveAtlas’s e-commerce operations targeting EEA / UK customers are designed to support WCAG 2.1 AA conformance.
• United States: While the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not directly regulate small Canadian businesses, U.S. courts have applied ADA Title III to commercial websites accessible from the United States. We track this case law and align with WCAG 2.1 AA.

3. Current conformance

Our site is built on WordPress with a theme and plugins that conform broadly to WCAG 2.1 AA. Specifically:

• Text content has sufficient contrast (≥ 4.5:1 for body text, ≥ 3:1 for large text)
• All images have descriptive alt text
• Interactive elements (buttons, links) are keyboard-navigable
• Page structure uses semantic HTML headings (h1 → h6)
• Form fields have associated labels
• Skip-to-content links are available on every page
• Site is responsive and works on screen-reader software (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and on mobile devices

4. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, certain areas may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA:

• Older PDF documents (datasheets, brochures from manufacturers) may not be fully tagged for screen-reader navigation. If you cannot access a specific PDF, please contact us and we will provide the information in an accessible format.
• Third-party widgets (chat, embedded forms) inherit the accessibility of their vendors; we choose vendors that target WCAG 2.1 AA but cannot guarantee complete conformance.
• Some product images do not include extended descriptions of technical specifications; product specifications are also available in the page text and on linked datasheets.

5. Requesting accommodations

If you have a disability and need an accommodation to access our website, our products, our quotes, or our services, please contact the accessibility contact above. We will respond within five (5) business days and provide a reasonable accommodation in a timely manner. Accommodations we can provide include:

• Quote documents in plain-text or accessible PDF format
• Verbal walkthroughs of product specifications by phone
• Large-print versions of order confirmations or invoices
• Alternative communication methods (TTY, email, postal mail)

6. Feedback

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website and services. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please describe the issue and the page or service involved. We use feedback to improve our accessibility ongoing.

7. Customer-service accessibility (AODA Part IV.1)

For Ontario customers, we provide accessible customer service consistent with AODA O. Reg. 191/11 Part IV.1: we welcome service animals; we accept support persons; we provide alternative formats and communication supports on request; and we will give notice of any temporary disruption that affects accessibility of our services.

8. Review

This Accessibility Statement is reviewed annually and updated as our practices, technologies, and applicable laws evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent review.
