Expansion joint type selection
Rubber — pump inlet/outlet vibration isolation and thermal expansion under 150°C. Metal flanged — steam and condensate to 350°C, large thermal movement. Externally pressurized — long pipe runs with stability requirement. Gimbal/seismic — building separation joints and seismic zones.
